Is Leaving The Featured Article Up Useful To Me?

So I say Vic over at bloggerunleashed leaving up his make money online post on the front page. So I, trusting the big boys have left my how to make money online post up on my front page.

However, I only have the title and some of the content showing. Do you think this is helping me? Does anyone no if this is useful?

Side note, its kinda funny I get this randoms made at me about and an they contact me with comments like. “is part of your make money online strategy to not post in a month and a half”

They need to take just a little more time and scroll down abit. But in all reality my rankings are going up and if leaving that post up helps any at all, its worth it to me.

What Is The Highest Converting Adsense Wordpress Theme?

Alright, everyone is looking for ways to earn online I was wondering if anyone had an answer for me on this. What Wordpress theme do you use that is intergrated with adsense. So far the two themes I have are Prosense and SEO Admax.

However, I have to believe there is a better theme out there for me. My problem with prosense is that there is just a little stripe of ads above the fold. I want a theme that simply has a 300×250 block of ads.

Seoadmax does have this, but I feel like there are so many ads that people realize what they are and they just click back.

Does anyone have any suggestions or any themse that they have found to work well?

Ways How to Make Money At Home

So you want to make extra money from home. Now, I’m not going to tell you that it is easy to make money at home, instead I’m going to talk a little about how I, if I had to do it all over again would go about making money at home.

First off don’t quit your job on your journey to make money at home online. I’m taking a couple months off right now but its because I’m moving and I’m a waiter and our busy season come to a halt. Sitting at a computer all day and grinding just isn’t realistic for me. If you’re the kind of person that can sit at a computer all day, well good for you. However, if you are currently working an office job in front of a computer, how much of the day to you actually work? I was reading something that said the average office worker is productive 2 hours a day and the rest of the time is spent in meetings, emails, socializing, etc. So, from my point of view be realistic about how much time you can actually work productively and KEEP YOUR DAY JOB, until you replace your salary from semi-passive income flowing off your websites.

However if you are up for the challenge of finding ways to make money from home, here is my first idea, make money writing. This will get you in the groove of sitting at home and working, as well as time management and basic writing skills. A website you should check out is http://elance.com There currently is plenty of work to be had on that website.

Now, a question that may have popped into your mind is, who is ordering all this articles? And if they are paying me to do the work, how are they making money off of them? There are many answers to this but mine is that they are creating Niche Blogs or Content Sites whatever you would like to call them and place a high importance to learn seo. This is one of the ways how to make money at home. What these people do is find profitable niches on random subjects with little competition. They do keyword research and come up with ideas for articles and fill them with keywords and outsource the writing to you. Then they create the site, add plugins, themes, tags, categories and build links to the sites. Currently sites like this earn $10-$40 (they go much higher, but I’m being conservative) and these sites can be sold for 9-12 months earnings so $100 to $400.

So my plan of action if I was you would be to start taking jobs as a freelance writer and start learning how to create blogs, and with your first blog, blog about your experience trying to make money. As you get more comfortable with wordpress, start finding your own niches and start writing for yourself.

Building A Network Of Sites On Different IP Address

I like to check out sitepoint everyday to see what is happening in the market. I also like to find my niches there. What could be a better place to find ripe markets that going to sitepoint reading their pitch and looking at their traffic and keywords?

Cut to the point there was an e-commerce store for sale and they were talking about all the efforts they took to optimize the site for SEO. One thing caught my eye, in addtion to the hubpages, squidoo pages, and the blog they had built they claimed to have 4 other sites (that they didn’t identify (URL) ) that they set up of different IP address.

Does anyone know about this practice?
How do you get different IP addresess?
What is and IP address?
Is this white hat?
Does it work?

Is A Spot On A The Yahoo Directory Worth $299

Lately I have been working quite a bit with my SEO Elite Software and exploring different niche markets that have good traffic with commerical intent. During this process I’ve looked through the links of the top sites and there are three directories that keep popping up amonst the top ranked sites.

Yahoo.com
Business.com
Botw.org

First off, I’m not talking about getting links from these directories for this blog or any niche blog but I’ve been thinking about purchasing a listing from Yahoo to try it out and see the results for my new e-commerce store.

Have any of you listed your sites on one of these directories? If so what were your results?

At first I assummed that these links must be good because the websites in which I found the links were ranked well. However, I have to assume that most people who buy these links are doing so because they are working their SEO and bought these links to add to links they aready head. To sum up what I just said, I think only serious people are buying these links.

Sorry, this post might not be what you’re looking for but face it short of selling coke and risking going to jail there really aren’t a ton of quick ways to make money. So the question of the day is how to make money quickly. If I found myself in the position of needing to make money quickly, I don’t think there is a better way than waiting tables. If you get a job at a restaurant as a waiter you can walk out of your first shift will 100 dollars in your hand and to me that is one of the best ways to make money quick.

Now I’m all about trying to make money online, so if you’re looking for some quick money off the internet I would start off my internet career as a freelance writer. You can go to elance.com and start bidding on writing jobs. Now, to be effective bidding projects on elance I would try to get my first job by bidding low on a couple of projects that way you will get feedback and people won’t be afraid to pay you the full rate once you have completed a couple projects.

Now you need to think about how you are going to transition from where you are now to where you want to be and how to make money quick. First off, before I say anything, I want to give you the no shame no blame mantra. But think about the events that put you in this position where you sat down to your computer and went to Google and typed in quick ways to make money. You are probably in debt and need some money to pay some bills. It is completely fine that you are it the position you’re in. Remember the only thing wrong with being broke is staying broke and making excuses about it like there isn’t any hope. So get that job at the restaurant and start pulling in some money there and then take on a couple of freelance writing jobs so you can start making money working for yourself.

Ways To Make Money Online From The Internet

Since I was a kid I’ve been searching for ways to make money. In my last post I talked about the best way to make money in high school or at least the ways I did. Now I’m going to talk about college and how I increased my worth, while studying in college.

When I was a sophomore in college I bought a house here in Durango and it was possible the best decision/investment I’ve made so far. I put $13,500 down (the money I made in high school, you can read more about how I did it in ways how to make money as a kid) on a $235,000 house. I was fortunate enough to have my parents co-sign on the loan or obviously it would have never happened. My mortgage was $1,442 per month and I had 3 roommates paying $400/month each. I was effectively buying the house for 242/month. Pretty sweet, huh. When I graduated, I sold the house for $275,000 and moved to Oregon.

At that point I was worth a little over $62,000. I played around in Oregon and didn’t work and spent a ton of money. Do I regret it, hell no. I was having fun, blowing money just having a good old time. I was 22 with a lot of cash. When I moved back to Durango I had $35,000, I chilled for the summer still not working and decided I wanted to move to the ocean to kiteboard. So my buddy and I left for Texas and I had about $29,000. I got a job waiting tables but I stilled lived above my means. When I came back from Texas I had about $25,000 and I got a job at the Ore Horse waiting tables and eventually went to work to work at Coldwell Banker selling Real Estate and with a few sales managed to get up to $35,000.

At that point I was searching for ways to make money online from the internet, so I looked around and found and bought Onemansgoal for $10,000. After a few months running Onemansgoal I decided to quit real estate, though still waiting tables, and decided to focus my efforts on finding ways to make money on the internet.

So now I’m sitting on my computer typing a post in response to Mary’s comment about whether or not I would buy Onemansgoal again. I just looked up my accounts to see how I sit as of right now. Here is what it looks like:

Onemansgoal - I’m not sure what it is worth but I now I’m going to turn it into a $10,000 dollar site again

T-Rowe Price Total Market Index Fund (POMIX) - $13,779 (I’ve put $10,000 into it so it has appreciated nicely but I was at $16,000 a few years ago before the market turned downhill.

Savings Account - $6,700

Other Sites - 40/month so roughly worth $400

Current net worth - $20,879

So I have I made bad decisions along my way, sure. But I find it funny that people are called me stupid for taking a risk and doing what I want to do with money I made working hard in High School and taking on the risk and responsibilities of being a landlord at 20 living with friends.

So, Mary to get to your question looking back would I buy this blog. Yes I would. Now would I recommend my path to someone else looking for ways to make money online, not exactly.

For me if I didn’t have all of the haters and people talking shit and I was just taking time out of my day to write posts that no one would comment on I think there is a good chance I would have quit. But if I was to recommend a path for a beginner that had a couple grand I would advise them to buy a blog that was earning from adsense so they could hopefully recover their investment back in a year even if they didn’t add any content. Having this onemansgoal community has kept me going, and I would like to especially thank Mary for the continued support.

I Want And Need To Make Money

If you’re reading this article you are either on my RSS feed or more likely you found this page through Google or Yahoo. I want to make money online. However, I haven’t had a lot of success yet. Wanting to make money online and actually making money online are to separate beasts. In your quest of needing or wanting to make money has building website crossed your mind???

Face it, we need to make money it is just the way it is. I graduated college and sold Real Estate and it was alright, I just knew that I couldn’t live the lifestyle I wanted if I had to constantly be in the same location and catering to peoples demands. This led me up to Thanksgiving 07, when I typed in “make money” to Google and a lot of interesting things popped up.

I had tried MLM in high school with ok results but I happened upon a site that ranked well for MLM Online. He was getting people to his blog through the search engines and then getting them to sign up for his newsletter and I’m assuming trying to convert these people to his downline. I don’t know how that was working for him, but I did know I wasn’t for me. It was just too damn cheesy for my liking.

After 6 months of reading I’m came upon Blogging as a means of making money online. I need to make money through blogging, both this blog you are reading now as well as the other blogs I’m developing. Tomorrow is my first day without a job in years, I’ve always had some kind of job. But I’m moving to Florida the 20th and I just want to give the making money online a full time go. Florida’s tourist season starts November so that will give me two months of full time work at this before once again getting a waiting job. So, we will see how it goes, and to tell you the truth you have no reason to listen to me because I haven’t accomplished anything yet. Yet, my passion for building website that make money for me is dominating my life and thought patterns.

The one thing I did pick up from doing MLM in high school and reading those blogs 6 months back is they all say you have to have a “why”. Essentially, you have to have a dream that gets you through your day of work and makes you keep going. What is my why? my why is world travel while working on my computer. It’s hard for me to explain because it’s not one singular dream. The Dream is more moving to Florida to hang out with my friends, because we getting older and have all already gone are own way once, so when I heard my buddy was getting divorced and moving to Florida I knew I had to go. After that I want to check out the Caribbean, than Europe. Past that I just want to have to ability to go whereever a fun opportunity presents itself and have the means and time to do it. I’m I dreaming to big, no way. I would rather fail big, than live small —— write that down

Three of the best ways to make money online are as follows:

Blogging is one of the best ways to make money, because for my money it is the easiest way to get started. Just last week after trying to convince him, my best friend got himself a laptop. He is convinced, as well as I that ecommerce is the best way to make money. I agree with him but I also think it is the hardest way and will take the longest to pay off. For this reason I told him to start a blog about his journey into the e-commerce world.

Now for the best way to make money from a long term point of view the answer is ecommerce. The reason I say this is because with my niche blogs they are set and forget to me. I create the site and build links and just let them earn. I’m not worried about taking down top spots on Google, but just ranking well enough to bring is some passive income. Once they are making good money the plan is to sell them off in order to get redesigns on my ecommerce stores. But now I’m getting ahead of myself.

Right now I have 4 ecommerce domains. I’ve been running BookMarking Demon on the domain as well as commenting on do follow blogs. The links I have been sending to the domains are for the main keyword I’m targeting with the site. As soon as my domain gets indexed for the main keyword I’ll set up a yahoo store. For $39.95 a month plus a onetime activation fee of $50, I’ll have my own ecommerce store. At this point I can start building my pages and adding products to the store. But the basic store template is very plain and won’t convert that well. However, it’s a cheap way for me to start working the SEO side of the store. Once I start getting some traffic to the sites, I’ll sell some content sites and pay a third party to redesign my ecommerce stores to be better looking and achieving higher conversion rates.
