The Best Way To Trade Links

Ok, so you have found someone that would like to trade links with you. The two of you would like to trade links located within a post on your blog. Now, you have an old post that you have already written that is directly related to their site. If you add a link to their site from an old post will it get found? Does Google recrawl your old posts once they have indexed them? Would this link do your link partner any good?

Or would it just be better to write a relevent fresh post?

It seems like the link would be more valueable from an older established post. This is assuming that the post is recrawled and the link is found.

I Need Advice On Privacy Policies, Return Policies And Shipping Policies

I created my own privacy policy for my adsense sites due to Googles mandate. I took about three different policies and put them into my own words and placed them on my sites. However, for the e-commerce store I’m starting I was wondering do I need a new one??? Plus, with Return Policies and Shipping Policies what happens if someone just flat out says it better than you. Will Google penalize you for duplicate content if you are using someone else’s privacy policy??? Or even worst will I get a duplicate content penalty for have the same privacy policy across my network of niche sites.

Also, if someone has a return policy I like, is it a violation of copyright to use their policy, even if I don’t specify that it’s copyrighted.

Any and All input will be helpful. I’ve been spending my morning so far learning about resellers’ licensing and sales and use tax forms and collecting sales tax in Florida. Fun huh, but I only have to learn it once and then repeat the process over and over - at least that what I’m telling myself.

What Is The Best Way To Tag Your Posts???

Hey everyone, it is good to be back. I was just looking around at people having a better time than me, ie tubing the river, mountain biking, hiking, that I decide to take a couple of weeks to go out and play and be a kid again. This whole “grown up” thing just isn’t for me.

I have got it out of my system for now and I’m ready to start playing my “make money online” video game again. That is the thing I don’t understand, people that can sit inside all day and play video games for like 8 hours. If they put that time and ability to sit still they would be making good money in no time.

Now for the purpose of this post. I looked at the “Make Money” longtail and have decided to crank out articles specifically for search engine traffic. So my first article will be “how to make money online” as Grizzly suggested a month or so back.

What is the best way to tag it. Based on my limited knowledge my guess would be:

With tightly related content, joining a blog network becomes easier because of the unique content. It also has a higher value per visitor so advertisers would come back repeatedly to pay for ads on your blog.

Focusing on very specific niche markets will be very lucrative. Affiliate networks and advertisers would want to partner with such sites because of the quality (and responsiveness) of the visitors.

If you are making money today, that doesn’t mean it will last, unless you take necessary steps to adjust your strategy accordingly.

At the end of the day, business is still business. You have to work on it to take it off the ground. It can be very rewarding though if you are passionate about the topic you are blogging. There are only a few things that are better than working from the comfort for your own home, get involved in the topic you are interested in, and still make a living with it.

How Do You Add Metatags To Your Header

I’m making this post because in the comment section of my post about Griz, he commented and asked me if I had contacted Google about my pagerank slap. The answer is no, if you have been following for awhile Justin told me to do the same thing. (check out Justin’s SEO blog)

When I followed the link Justin gave me to the Google webmaster thing it said I had to create an HTML file in the index (witch I also don’t know how to do) or insert a metatag on the blog to verify ownership.

In the comments zania was nice enough to tell me how to get started, however that is where I’m getting lost. Please watch the video and let me know if you have any ideas.

A Cool Little Youtube Trick

Getting people to your website is hard enough, making them stay is a completly different story. You may have noticed that on my last post the youtube video autoplayed. Question, was anyone about to click away when they heard me talking and decided to watch? Anyway, I have some code for you that with automaticly make your video play once the page has loaded as well as loop the video once it has finished the code is:

First remember you have to put the code in two spots. First spot read the code after www.youtube.com until you hit the & delete everything between that and the " and replace with the code.

Ok, this is going to be just a quick post. I’ve received a good amount of e-mails of people either questioning or commending me for not taking down the negative comments or allowing people to argue on my blog. First of all, commenting is part of what makes blogging so cool. I’m not going to remove your comment even if you think I’m stupid (because it’s going to be fun to send you an e-mail when I make it and find your dead blog)

Censorship is about the lamest thing I can possible think of, especially in a community type environment. Watch this video.
