“The Blogger Challenge” Contestants

I just want everyone to meet the contestants in “The Blogger Challenge”. We had a pretty good turn-out and I wish everyone luck!!! Everyone has the statistics that we are competing from listed. In order WEBSITE - AUTHORITY - FANS - ALEXA RANK

In order to make it fair, I had to alter the weight classes slightly.

-Lightweight Division-

http://www.ihateyourjob.com - 10 - 3 - 1,717,110

http://www.groovyvegetarian.com - 12 - 10 - 559,246

http://www.avgjoeblogger.com - 18 - 2 - 2,512,612

http://lifesnippets.net - 14 - 6 - 1,120,144

http://4clubbs.wordpress.com - 12 - 1 - 1,114,715

http://yourwebsiteprofit.blogspot.com - 7 - 2 - N/A
(not eligible for triple crown)

http://samwoodfin.typepad.com/blog - 6 - 2 - 4,537,017

http://www.startpagedesign.com/blog - 4 - 2 - 4,496,767

http://lordmanilastone.blogspot.com - 9 - 19 - 1,359,239

http://www.yeepage.com - 19 - 10 - 1,203,270

http://thedragonproject.blogspot.com - 1 - 1 - N/A
(not eligible for triple crown)

-Middleweight-

http://slyvisions.com - 60 - 17 - 276,286

http://caribooponderer.blogspot.com - 41 - 7 - 2,802,165

http://www.romandock.com - 39 - 1 - 4,667,725

http://bostonbrat.net - 104 - 5 - 230,847

http://thekingkongblog.com - 180 - 16 - 974,608

and making a surprising entry…

http://onemansgoal.com - 104 - 49 - 381,218

-Heavyweight-

http://paulsbride.blogspot.com - 422 - 7 - 3,116,002

http://www.untwistedvortex.com - 319 - 328 - 58,409

You may notice that two of the bloggers have an N/A where their Alexa rank goes. These blogs are too new to have an Alexa rank. I figured it’s only fair to disqualify them from the Alexa part of the competition since we cant’ track their rank. They can still win the two Technorati contests (authority and fans).

Good luck to everyone!!! Remember, it’s all about percentages. You want the biggest percentage increase over everyone else in your “weight” class!

Get to it! Contest ends September 1st. Results will be announced within a few days after that!

It’s interesting that despite the encouragement to move from free blog hosting into paid hosting with a web domain, we still have a blogspot hosted blog in the “Heavyweight” division….

Contamination - You should really take the time to read the article. I said nothing negative about free blogging. I just think it allows you to leverage your traffic better than a free host.

On top of that, it gives you more design options, and allows you to do things that you could never do on a free hosting site.

For the most part I like the new design. Good Job.

Ready or not, here I come!!

By the way, nice redesigning here Bryan. I like the banner, sidebars, and of course, the content.

Wow, I have the worst Alexa rank of anyone in the contest. Hopefully that will change by the end! Thanks for the update here and we’ll see how this goes.

Bryan I agree that you can do more with paid hosting over free hosting.
Heck, I’ve seen this site go through at least 3 unique makeovers.
While on blogger I can’t even put ads at the bottom of my posts… (I think, if you know how please let me know)

But, you get what you pay for….
