This is where some people go wrong. I know there are some out there that tell you take a risk and risks are necessary. But understand that they don't have to be foolish. Take a W2 as a goal to help you get there. My most successful internet venture which ended up netting me six figures a year for a bit and only took 2 to 4 hours of work per day took me 2 years in the building (with a regular W2 to get there). Some will make it faster if you get the right idea at the right time and with the right revenue model, but most get there by chunking away at it a little at a time. While the goal of self employment is online, don’t be W2 averse. This is where some people go wrong. I know there are some out there that tell you take a risk and risks are necessary.
