Using PLR Articles For Article Submission
By Bryan Clark on Feb 11, 2008 in Better Blogging
One of the most understated factors in blogging is the ability to create content quickly. I’m not talking about the content that you put on your blog, but the content that you use to submit to other sources to build backlinks.
Link Building and PLR Articles
PLR (private label rights) articles are merely content that you can re-use as often as you’d like, without giving credit to the original author. In fact, most of the time when you purchase these articles, you have no idea who wrote them anyway, because you are buying them from someone who has already removed the authors name.
Using sites like http://forums.digitalpoint.com you can often purchase article packs that contain 500 or more PLR articles for less than $10. It doesn’t get much cheaper than that!
After you buy them, don’t go out and copy and paste them onto some article submission site without re-writing them. Remember, duplicate content is bad!
The idea here is to rewrite the articles. You use the basic concept of the article, and go through and try to change as much of it as you can by removing sentences, adding other sentences, and changing words where you can. Or you can use an article rewriter program which will do this for you, automatically. The best part about using an automatic article rewriter is that it will allow you to adjust how it writes the articles… you can use these to set your keyword density (keep it at around 5% for best results), and they even have a built-in thesaurus to help you choose which word you’d like to use.
I don’t recommend using the article rewriter for blog posts, unless you manually go back through and correct any errors. This program is pretty smart, but it’s not human so it often makes contextual errors. For example, when talking about “riding the pine” on your sports blog, it could think that you meant the “pine tree” and substitute “pine” for “oak”. These errors really don’t matter when it comes to article submission though. This isn’t your audience, you are just taking advantage of the platform to build good SERP’s. So if it’s hard to read, that’s ok… hopefully they’ll be clicking your links before they read your article anyway.
So the goal is to quickly re-write the articles and make sure you post links back to your blog within them. These are high value links because article submission sites like http://ezinearticles.com are Google trusted. That means that these articles are more likely to obtain high rankings for your keyword than if you were to post the same article on your own blog. High ranking means high dollar.
When these posts achieve great rankings, you’ll be getting search engine traffic from Google, they’ll read your article, and they’ll (hopefully) click on your links so that they are redirected to your blog. Make sure to use quality anchor text, because these are authoritative links that will help any SEO campaign.
This method isn’t likely to get you a ton of traffic (although it can, and has happened), but it’s a great way to build authoritative links if you are writing keyword rich content. Search engines love these sites, so take advantage of it.
