Stop Producing Excuses & Start Producing Results

If you aren’t moving towards being an authority, you are doomed to be a “small timer” forever. The truth is that the online marketing, blogging, and make money online crowds are brutal. If you aren’t at the top of your class, then you are just another “C” student. You can’t make THOUSANDS a month with a $2 attitude.

The secret to becoming wealthy online is to be an authority at something. Whether it be blogging, making money online, marketing, fishing, sports, celebrity gossip or even peanut butter and jelly sandwiches - You have to be an authority to be rich. Plain and simple. If you aren’t an authority, you are just another faceless person in the crowd that looks up to the authorities. This may sound harsh, but it’s the plain and simple truth.

It’s funny to me that I see so many bloggers online that are striving for “A” list status, with a “C” list mentality. Most have big dreams but they have even bigger excuses. I can’t find the time to post, I can’t seem to monetize my blog, no matter what I do I can’t drive more than a few hundred visitors to my site a day. That’s a load of crap.

I don’t produce excuses, I produce results.

That’s the truth of the matter. I barely knew what a blog was six months ago, and now look at me. I’ve made more in six months as a blogger (a NEW blogger I might add) than some people make in a year. And guess what? It’s not good enough. I’m not okay with settling for “good enough”. My goal was to make a sustainable living online, and I accomplished my goal six months early - I am now a full-time internet entrepreneur that makes more every month than I ever made working for someone else. It’s not an easy road to get here, and it’s going to be even harder to get to where I want to be, but I’m not making excuses… I’m producing results. For those of you that say that it takes money to make money… I should remind you that I started this journey with $6 in my bank account and no job.

The sooner you quit thinking like a follower and start thinking like an authority the sooner you will be rich. Do I need to repeat that? Too many blogs are stuck in the “middle”, and thus doomed for failure. Getting to the top of the hill is the hard part, and a true winner will gut it out and then stand on top of the peak and wave down to all of those that wonder how he got there. Is the winner that much stronger than you? Not at all. But the winner is smart. He knows that if he can gut it out and make it to the top of the hill, all he has to do is slide down. Those that are in the middle, on the other hand get stuck in the middle and then realize that it’s easier to slide down before they get to the top.

How long are you going to be stuck in the middle? Let’s make it our goal to gut it out and make it to the top before we slide down the other side. It’s all about momentum, and I promise you that when you slide down the top of the hill, you’ll produce more momentum than if you were to slide down the middle of it.

Awesome post Bryan! As they say in the boxing ring - “it’s 80% mental, and 20% physical”. The overriding truth to being successful - online, offline, whatever… - is first believing - NO I MEAN BELIEVING - that you can achieve it!

That’s the first, and most important hurdle. And don’t surprised when that hurdle keeps coming back, and keeps requiring you to jump over it time and time again… the truly successful will negotiate that hurdle as many times as it takes until they achieve what they’ve set out to accomplish!

Keep up the great work Bryan!

Amen Brother! I just found your site and there is no doubt I will be coming back to get inspiration when the times get tough.

This is what makes onemansgoal.com worth reading!! This was an excellent post, Bryan. One book that I highly recommend for entrepreneur that wants to be successful is called The Dip, by Seth Godin. It’s a fast read and very enlightening, and it’s all about knowing when to quit and when to stick it out. You have to know when you’re in a cul-de-sac, and when you’re in “the dip” … and you, Bryan, are a perfect example of “sticking it out”.

Bryan, this was an awesome and inspiring post! Just reading makes me want to try even harder. Good job. My new goal is to overtake you. lol… who knows, but it’s a good peak to aim for!

Joe - By all means, overtake me!

I’m glad this post has inspired some of you. This is how I run my online empire, and I have had great success. The real key to success is not accepting failure. There is no such thing as failure, just learning experiences. True failure is when you don’t learn from the experience and you stay in that rut.

Make 2008 your best year ever! It’s still early…

I first saw your blog a few days ago and favorited it. All I have to say is WOW. Now that is a call to action…

I’ve stepped up my game as of TODAY. Thanks!

I needed that. I’m sitting here feeling sorry for myself with the load of school, work, and everything else, and I hit a rut this week with my site. I made a few dollars and got complacent, and as I’m putting off writing a post that has been half finished on my computer for three days, I find this. thanks

This was “dead on”. I firmly believe the ones who TAKE ACTION regularly will prosper. Too many people keep following and never stepping out from the crowd. Nice post.

Great post! You got that right!

Do it, or you will never get it.

Success in anything requires that you develop the ability to be dumb enough to never stop trying to improve.

Keeping going at all costs is the key.

I completely agree with this. Just before the end of 2007, I started thinking if I should give up on my blog.

About 2 weeks later, I thought, what the heck, might as well try again, but slowly. To my amazement, I started getting more visitors on a daily basis, than in the past and even got my very first advertisement offer. Finally, I can start to see some money in my bank account.

    Don’t give up!

    Thanks,

This post is true! I read a lot junk on blogs and this post was so refreshing because it actually had thoughts that were worth thinking about! Nice work and thanks for being an inspiration.

Indeed, the first step towards becoming a winner is thinking like one. If you are serious about making it in the long run however, it’s important to take things to the next level by always giving it 110% like a winner as well. The main difference between successful people and the rest of the crowd is the fact that successful people do while others come up with excuses.

Good info. I like the attitude.

I get the whole attitude part, and I get your point about being an authority. However I see many bloggers struggling to be A listers but they are not authorities. They are trying to be an authority. They are writing about what they are practicing but they haven’t mastered it yet. I see this a lot in the field of personal development blogs.

Why are they attempting to promote themselves as an authority when they are not?

Never settle until you are completely satisfied with your results. If you are just cutting it close to your goal then work harder and get past it! Great Post!

“You can’t make THOUSANDS a month with a $2 attitude.” I like your quote.

I will definitely take a look at your free report to see how you did it!
