‘Make Money Blog’ RSS Feed Drive: The Hits Don’t Stop
By Bryan Clark on Dec 5, 2007 in Rss
Just like songs on music albums, I find that books also have some chapters that really resonate with me, while others I’d like to skip through. “B-side” chapters that seem more filler than meat. That’s why I like downloading songs. Sometimes I just like one song on the album, I don’t want to listen to the other 15.
Too bad we aren’t able to pick and choose the chapters of books (or ebooks) we’d like to buy, and pay $0.99 (or more) for it, rather than the $20-70 for most good ebooks.
But, if you subscribe to the RSS feed of several of the top ‘make money’ blogs, you’ll find each day, the equivalent of several small chapters - some of them being very, very good. All for free. Most of these bloggers happily share priceless pearls - ideas and perspectives and even valuable “how to’s”
This shows the real value of subscribing to the RSS feeds of ‘make money’ blogs! Most bloggers are giving away this valuable information every day. Some of these posts are the “meat” which entire ebooks are based around! All willingly shared with us as their readership.
If you haven’t been taking advantage of subscribing to the RSS feeds of your favorite ‘make money’ blogs - consider doing so. Let’s you and I take advantage of all the good posts out there (we can easily overlook or delete the lame ones).
RSS feeds from ‘Make Money’ blogs are a TREMENDOUS resource - and just like hearing a new song for the first time can introduce you to new artists, subscribing to all the ‘make money’ blogs’ RSS feeds might introduce you to a blogger whose style and information really get to you, and posts that really hit home.
Subscribe today to the RSS feeds of the top 100 ‘make money’ blogs at 45n5.com and start the process of favoriting or unsubscribing. By the end you should have some great authors that strike a chord with you sending you free mini-ebooks every day.

4th row, 9th from the left
You had me search for about 5 minutes over every asterix set on finding my blog!
But that is a great idea, I think I will be off to the top 100 page to start adding rss feeds.

My site’s not on your reader?
Hopefully you will check out my site and take a look around. I guarantee that it will be a part of your subscription list in the future. As with this blog (after Bryan’s move), it’s already in my daily reads!

To all - I hope many readers will take advantage of your excellent RSS feeds. If you’d like the source files, use the “contact me” to send a request and I’ll get them right to you.
Sly - Oversight on my part! Fixed! If there are any others in the same spot, don’t feel bad. This is mostly the top blogs on the 45n5 list, which are all great resources.

Your post has given me an idea I am excited to start learning about and implement. Strategic thinking like this can really move you ahead of the game, taking advantage of free information seems like an easy skill yet I think it is missed by a huge population of people.

All these ideas and ebooks seem the same now and I really consider it being a marketing strategy.

Selling books about making money and self development was first pioneered by Benjamin Franklin. There is always a fresh supply of up and comers who dream of leaving there 9 to 5er for the greener pastures of self employment. Hats off to Austin for sharing with us a few of his personal secrets that he developed on his own.

Mike - but on the other hand, where are you more likely to see new and innovative ideas first, on the New York Time’s Best Seller List or in the blogosphere? I don’t think that every single GOOD innovative idea always makes itself known to us offline. Can’t it be both a marketing strategy AND have some great ideas and stuff in them? There’s bloggers and then there’s BLOGGERS man. If you find your subscribed to someone who is just regurgitating old information, you can always unsubscribe. But I hear ya!

Adding RSS feeds is of course a good marketing strategy. But which version is the best?-RSS 2.0 or 1.0? Please let me know?
