Generating Traffic From Blog Carnivals

CarnivalBlog Carnivals can be a great way to generate traffic, build buzz, and gain valuable exposure in the community. Blog Carnivals are simply a list of blog articles that fit a specific topic. The topic can be as broad as “internet entrepreneurship” or as narrow as “traffic building”. It all depends on the Blog Carnival that you submit to. I’ve taken part in two Blog Carnivals now and I am amazed at the number of readers that I have gained for something that took so little time.

All you have to do is go through your archives and find articles that fit the topics. It’s as simple as finding the Blog Carnival to submit it to. You can find tons of them at BlogCarnival.Com - and then start submitting. When the submission deadline passes, the blogger that is holding the carnival will make a post with a bunch of links (hopefully some of yours!) of topics that are relevant to the subject of the carnival.

The navigation of this Blog Carnival dot Com can be a bit tricky, but just dig around a bit and you’ll get it. It’s pretty easy and I’ll give you a few tips to find the right Blog Carnival to enter your story in. What you do is go to the website that I linked to, sign up for an account, and start searching. I searched for the topic “blogging” - but you can search any number of things to submit articles to. If you have a tech blog search “technology”, a fashion blog “fashion” and so on.

After you find the Blog Carnival you are going to submit to you simply fill in the title of the post and then submit the link to the person running the carnival. A few weeks (or days) later you’ll notice that (if they select your article) you’ll have an incoming link from the blog that is running the carnival. It’s a super way to build backlinks and gain readers. I highly recommend something that can be so simple, yet so beneficial. Go try it out!

I love Blog Carnival! I wish I had a blog about blogging, or making money, because there are like 20 carnivals to enter for those topics. I’ve only found about 5 carnivals that fit my beauty/skincare/health niche. Do you know of any other blog carnival sites besides blogcarnival.com?

I’ve heard of blog carnivals many times before but I don’t really know of anyone who looks at them except for those who are submitting to blog carnivals. I just don’t really see that many people come to them for information.

Michael - The blog carnivals are usually hosted on an actual persons blog. The site isn’t for information, it’s just for submission. That’s how the ones that I’ve been in were anyway. Brought me a great deal of readers too!

Blog Carnivals are great! I participate in one almost every week. They are probably the leading reason I even have the traffic that I do have now. Great advice!

I’ll try to find some articles in my archive and post some of them in Blog Carnival. I think it will be a good way to build backlinks. People who are also interested in real estate could just search through their topics and read my articles and link to me.
